Before At Health Australia: Pro-snowboarder
Go-to work out: Surfing
Weakness: Beer…and chocolate
Health Tip: Balance is key. Be active and eat well…but treat yourself every now and then too.

I’ve always been obsessed with ‘board’ sports. I spent my childhood skateboarding, surfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding…you name it. Even now, 9 times out of 10, you’ll still find me perfecting my technique on a board somewhere. But it was snowboarding in particular that I grew to be most passionate about.

Enthusiasm, talent and hard work soon saw me competing at a professional level. Everything I did revolved around snowboarding; where I travelled, how I exercised and what I ate. As a pro-athlete, the pressure to perform at such a high-level meant that ‘good health’ was fundamental. It also meant I had a team of paid support staff around me who prioritised my nutrition, training and general wellbeing. They kept me motivated and on-track to win.

For me today, achieving ‘good health’ isn’t as straight-forward as it once was. For starters, I don’t have a paid support team anymore! But I do like to keep active and eat reasonably well. When I’m not on a board, I mix it up with soft-sand running, bicycle hill climbs, push-ups, chin-ups, swimming and yoga. Might sound like a lot, but I’m in no way a full-on fitness fanatic or health nut! I love a lazy Sunday on the couch watching Game of Thrones, having burgers and beers with the boys and yeah, I can eat an entire family block of chocolate to myself…in one sitting. What of it?! The truth is, I’m human and like most of us, need a little help maintaining good health on occasion.

When I met Alexis, the love of my life and co-founder of At Health Australia, we made a pact to support each other in maintaining good health. Together, we try to lead an active and well-balanced lifestyle, aided by Alexis’ ever-expanding passion for healthy cooking and the elimination of refined sugar from our diet.  I believe our success (so far) is two-fold.

First, it’s the freedom we allow ourselves to indulge every once in a while. Let’s face it - perfection gets boring! Secondly, is that we have each other’s backs. Instead of a paid support team, I have Alexis encouraging me every step of the way. She’s much prettier than they ever were, and I really couldn’t do it without her! I don’t think YOU should have to do it alone either.

For me then, the primary role of At Health Australia is one of support. Our high-quality, 100% natural nutritional products will support your daily dietary needs. Our social media platforms are where you’ll find your very own personal cheer squad 24 hours a day. You don’t have to be a pro-snowboarder with a paid support team to prioritise your health. You’ve got Alexis and I, and At Health Australia! Let’s go for gold.
