Strawberries & Cream Protein Icy Poles

Strawberries & Cream Protein Icy Poles

The beauty of these is that they're super easy to make while being 100% natural, without any nasty refined sugars or preservatives. The naturally sweet fresh strawberries and our At Health Vanilla Protein Powder give it all the sweetness you need to keep you well satisfied. Not to mention you get a sneaky hit of protein while you quietly munch away!

Who remembers making Ice Blocks as a kid? It was such a novelty!! It was the perfect icy cold treat to cool down after a day at the beach, or a 'hard day' of riding your bike around the neighbourhood.

Aneka has brought back so many warm, bronzed-skin childhood memories with this super yummy protein ice block recipe.

You can also try using different fresh fruit flavours to keep you going all the way through to summer….. Mango or Watermelon would be awesome!

Perfect for hot afternoons, a post workout cool-off, or after dinner treat. A refreshing blend of delicious creaminess and ice crunch, these pretty little puppies are ten minutes of prep never spent better!

How to make

  1. Prepare a tray of 6 ice popsicle moulds.
  2. Blend the fresh strawberries and vanilla powder together in a blender and set aside.
  3. Rinse out the blender then use it again to combine the coconut milk, soaked (and drained) cashews and protein powder. Blend until cashews become completely smooth.
  4. Pour about 2 tablespoons of the strawberry purée into each of the moulds, followed by equal or more of the cream mixture. Keep alternating the between pouring the two mixtures in until it's all used up and moulds are filled evenly.
  5. Place mould tray into the freezer and chill for approximately 20-25 minutes, or long enough so that they are only semi frozen.
  6. Take out the tray from the freezer and place a paddle pop stick in the centre of each mould before returning to the freezer.
  7. Freeze for at least 3-4 hours or until completely set.
  8. Enjoy on a hot day for a delicious, sweet little protein hit!
