Our 'At Health Australia' creamy protein porridge could quite honestly be the best porridge in the world. Grand statement I know, but it's become a week day favourite at our At Health Australia HQ - we absolutely love it.
It’s incredibly creamy thanks to the addition of our At Health Australia protein powder and the perfect combination of our At Health Naturally Chia Seeds and rolled oats to give scrumptious porridge texture.
All of these wholefood ingredients complement our At Health Maca Powder that we add for its energy boosting properties, plus it helps to stabilise moods - not that I'm ever moody ;)
1 cup of cold water
1/3 of a cup of rolled oats
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of milk of choice
1 tablespoon of sultanas
1 tablespoon of coconut flakes
1 tablespoon of Naturally Naked Protein Powder - sprinkled on top and stirred in
1 teaspoon of Naturally Raw Maca powder - sprinkled on top and stirred in
Rice Malt Syrup (optional for added sweetness)
How to make:
Place the rolled oats, chia seeds, cold water and dash of salt in a saucepan and allow them to heat slowly for a around five minutes. Ensure you stir frequently to ensure the chia seeds and rolled oats combine for a smooth texture. Continue to heat slowly until the liquid has almost all been absorbed, around 10 minutes. At this point, I like to add a splash of milk and the sultanas to add creaminess and subtle sweetness. Continue to mix until well combined. Once the porridge is a thick creamy texture, you can serve.
Sprinkle with our At Health Protein Powder, Maca Powder and Coconut Flakes. I don't tend to heat / cook these, rather simply sprinkle on the top at the end.
If you have a sweet tooth, you can also add some Rice Malt Syrup or other sweetener of your choice. Banana is a great addition too. Be creative!
